IRANIAN Executed 114 People Since Israel-Hamas War Began: Report

It seems Iran is taking advantage of the world focus on the Israel-Hamas war to carry out mass executions across its prisons.


Rights groups are sounding the alarm over the ongoing execution spree and the issuance of death penalties for fabricated crimes in Iran.


The Iran Detainees Report group, which tracks rights violations in Iran, warned against the imminent execution of Davoud Abdollahi, a Sunni-Kurdish man who has been in prison for 14 years, after another person arrested in the same case was executed last week.


Abdollahi, along with six other people, were arrested in 2009 for allegedly killing a Sunni cleric named Abdul Rahim Tina. In 2016, they were all sentenced to death on vague charges including “corruption on earth,” “enmity against god” and “membership in Salafi groups.”


“These arrestees were subjected to extreme mental and physical torture to make forced confessions,” Iran Detainees Report said in a post on the X platform on Tuesday.

 Stutthof Concentration Camp guard 72 years ago today eleven members of the staff of Stutthof Concentration Camp were hanged. Stutthof concentration camp, 34 km. from Danzig , was the first concentration camp created by the Nazis outside Germany, in September 1939. From June 1944, Stutthof became a death camp as part of Hitler's programme of exterminating European Jews.  It expanded rapidly over its five year life and had many satellite camps. This expansion required a commensurate increase in staff and local people with Nazi sympathies were recruited.  Altogether some 110,000 men, women and children were sent to Stutthof. Dale Eldon Christensen of Gray, Iowa, a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, was posthumously awarded the  Medal of Honor for his heroic actions on July 16, 1944, in New Guinea. Christensen served as a second lieutenant in Troop E of the 112th Cavalry Regiment. A woman’s suspicious movement gave her away after ‘successfully’ stealing a bottle of groundnut oil from a supermarket. According to Facebook user Stella, the woman had stolen the item and hid it under her skirt ( in between her legs) to avoid detection.
