Two more executions in Ahwaz prison

 Two prisoners have been hanged in Karoun prison of Ahwaz on charge of murder on Wednesday August 19 and Tuesday August 18.

According to a report by Khouzestan justice department, “Reza – R” who had been charged with a murder in 2006 and sentenced to death by Khouzestan penal court was hanged last Wednesday in Karoun prison.


Also “Ali – SH” who had been charged with murder in 2004 and sentenced to death by Khouzestan penal court, was hanged last Tuesday.


According to this report the Supreme Court has confirmed the death verdicts.

Dale Eldon Christensen of Gray, Iowa, a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, was posthumously awarded the  Medal of Honor for his heroic actions on July 16, 1944, in New Guinea. Christensen served as a second lieutenant in Troop E of the 112th Cavalry Regiment.
